Dr Stephen Ward

"The answers lie in our spinal patterns. We look at spinal curvature patterns and use that information to study chronic conditions, mental and emotional behaviors and the impact of behavioral scripts handed down from one generation to the next."

Wall Adjustment Technique   – Why We’re Different

Dr. Stephen Ward utilizes standing and seated Wall Adjustment Techniques. This powerful method releases stress that has been trapped within the physical body. The Wall Adjustment Techniques are immediately effective in reducing neck, shoulder, lower thoracic pain, and lower back pain. Adjusting the ribs utilizing this technique can quickly reduce breathing difficulties, and is beneficial for people suffering from asthma. Pain and posture are indicators to current mental-emotional and physical stressors that is keeping a person stuck within their health challenge. The Wall Adjustment Technique is also the missing link in sports-related injuries.

In my thirty years of experience, I have found that every time an athlete injures an extremity, there is a simultaneous injury that occurs within the spinal column.

Dr. Ward specializes in helping patients find the root cause of their pain so he/she may correct the issue. Chronic back pain is one of the biggest ailments Americans face today. Back pain affects eight out of ten people at some point in their lives, although it is common, it is not all the same. Many different conditions can cause back pain, such causes include; sprained ligaments and muscles, trigger points, arthritis, ruptured disks, inflamed joints, sport injuries and many more. Back pain comes in many forms; muscle spasms, cramping, stiffness, sensitivity to touch or pressure and escalating pain. Dr Ward believes that you deserve to be pain free and he wants to find the root of what is actually causing you pain. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms it’s time to make the call. [562.420.8884] There are different treatment options for back pain which vary person to person, on your first visit we will do a full evaluation, a verbal diagnosis, then we will discuss your options. Don’t put off feeling better, contact us today! You will be so happy you did!

Dr. Stephen Ward is a second generation chiropractor carrying forth a unique science established by his late father, Dr. Lowell Ward. For a combined 60 years, Dr. Lowell Ward and his son, Dr. Stephen Ward, advanced this innovative  science and technique utilizing full spine x-rays to evaluate a patient systemically  rather than segmentally. This systemic x-ray analysis looks at over 40 key angles  and spinal landmarks. He uses standing and seated full spinal x-rays to evaluate  spinal curvature patterns, diseased conditions, mental/emotional behaviors, and  the impact of behavioral scripts handed down from one generation to the next.

This systemic spinal x-ray approach documents evidence of injuries not  commonly seen by other doctors who only study patients in a non-injury position, (ie x-rays taken in a prone or lying down position.) Many doctors believe that the segmental approach is a better way to evaluate pain and trauma. If you’re injured in a seated position, Dr. Steve believes you should be evaluated in the seated position. While in the last several years MRI imaging has begun to look at people in different positions of stress, the majority of people are still receiving MRI imaging in a lying down, non-stress position. Dr Steve specializes in spinal curvature patterns that are seen in degenerative diseases, mental|emotional|psychosomatic issues and traumas such as car accidents, falls, forward bending and lifting injuries. It is his hope that the world will alter its preferred segmental approach and start seeing the power which comes from evaluating people systemically  holistically.
